As we all know, concerns regarding the spread of the COVID-19 continue to be a major factor, particularly since people can be without any symptoms and still be sick and spreading the virus to others. The Leadership Team has continued to monitor the situation and has been in contact with medical personnel and health officials as well as other church leaders including FCCOF where we meet. As I am sure you are aware, many events have been cancelled throughout the country and some schools are also responding by cancelling class meetings and having the students study online instead.
After prayerful consideration, at this time we have decided to CANCEL ALL SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES UNTIL THE SITUATION CHANGES AND WE FEEL IT IS SAFE. This includes Community Group and Youth Group meetings. This is a safety measure and will also allow the facility to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We will continue to monitor the situation and will hopefully all have a better idea of the spread of the virus in our communities in the coming days and weeks.
We will continue to live stream our Sunday Service on Facebook. The Wednesday midweek will be live streamed on their Facebook group page as well.
Please continue to check your email for more information as the situation remains very fluid. We would rather err on the side of caution and perhaps overreact (which cannot hurt) than under react and have someone get sick. Our main concern is the health and well being of all of you!
Our hope is in the Lord, not the government or the economy or the healthcare system. We are blessed to live in this country and have access to all that we do here. Let us pray for all of those who are affected throughout the world. Use these couple of weeks to reach out and call someone to check on them and encourage them. We are a family. We will get through this together.
Our SCCC app has officially been released on the Apple App Store and the Google Play store. You can go and download it where you will be linked to our website, Facebook page, videos, podcasts and online giving portal. Use this time to download and use the app and provide us your feedback please.
We seek not to be fearful but faithful, prayerful and diligent.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. - Philippians 4:6-7
As always, it is our honor to serve you.
