We offer a variety of options for the youngest members of our church family. We want to share the joy of Christ and let every child know that they are loved by an amazing God. We want to show and teach them nothing they do will change the way God loves them. We want them to learn and feel supported as they face life and eternity. We offer a safe setting where all adult leaders have been background checked and trained to work with children. We do our best to make the safety of your child our top priority.
Every class has a weekly handpicked curriculum that is age appropriate for their developmental needs. We focus on 12 simple biblical truths that help kids know who they are because of who God is. These truths progress through I am known, I am forgiven, and I am designed for a purpose. We want every child to know and learn the Bible in a way they understand.
Our nursery has paid staff who are always there to help with the easy of a new place. The children love to see the same friendly faces each week. They get to sing and dance to age-appropriate Worship. They listen to a bible story, play with toys, do small activities, and crafts.
Every Sunday we have praise songs, we have Bible stories, learn monthly Bible verses, we play games, have crafts and activities to understand the monthly focus. See combined "Roots" for May - August.
After Memorial Day, we combine all the classes for a summer of fun. The children will sit in the sanctuary with their parents until they are dismissed after the Worship band and go to a classroom as one large group. We will return to normal classes in August after school resumes.
Thank God It's Wednesday! (TGIW) is a time for all children to join the youth and have dinner during the school year.
This program is offered during the school year. Children will learn about God in a more relaxed environment. We focus on weekly lessons about a life lived in Jesus' love. We also teach the rangers life skills. We are building and teaching them how to use tools, painting, rhythm sticks, and sewing. We also focus on nature. We do camp trips, learn how to start fires, pitch tents, etc. We like to plan field trips like bowling or trampoline parks.
Children get the change to learn how to read music, learn notes, music theory, and sing. The choir learns and practices songs to sing for the congregation multiple times a year. They also get an introduction to playing chimes while reading sheet music. We also have been known to have some fun dance parties to get the fun started!
Children have the opportunity to earn Bible Bucks to purchase prizes during the first Sunday of the month.
Our church is honored to sponsor a Church Camp for children 3rd - 6th grade in July of every year. This camp is held at the Historic Santa Claus Campgrounds. Contact the church office for more information.
